Who are Burnley's famous investors? Vincent Kompany's side use American connections to bring in huge

Burnley's owners Velocity Sports Partners (VSP) have wasted little time using their American connections to bring in some huge investors.

The Clarets are back in the Premier League after a dominant season in the Championship under Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany and their promotion has seen a wave of investment.

The names who are set to dedicate their time and money into Burnley are impressive and should only continue to grow as the Clarets re-establish themselves in the top-flight.

These two are one of America's most powerful sporting couples and have thrown their money and time behind Kompany's project.

JJ was an NFL superstar from 2011 until 2022 and represented the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals.

The 34-year-old, named NFL's Defensive Player of the Year three times, was one of the best around and is hugely popular in America.

His wife, Kealia, is a former USA Women's international and made three senior appearances for her country.

She started her career with Houston Dash in 2014 and finished playing in 2021 with Chicago Red Stars.

And now, the pair are fully behind Burnley.

Speaking earlier this year after their investment was confirmed, the pair said: “When you invest in a club that’s been around since 1882, you must have great respect for its history and tradition.

"We understand that not only are we investing in the squad and manager, we’re investing in the town and its people.

“We take that responsibility very seriously and intend to work hard in earning their trust and support. We believe that Burnley is a special club with incredible supporters and we want to help continue to elevate its global profile on its return to the Premier League.”

Dude Perfect

Estimated net worth: £78m

The four brains behind YouTube group 'Dude Perfect' have also announced their investment in Burnley.

The group consists of Tyler Toney, Garrett Hilbert, Cody Jones and Coby and Cory Cotton, and have 60million subscribers on YouTube.

The group specialise in comedy videos and sports trick shots, with one video entitled 'Real Life Trick Shots' racking up 247 million views.

The now huge YouTube brand all met at Texas A&M University and released a statement via the club's website expressing their delight at becoming involved with the Clarets.

The statement said: "We've been fans of the Premier League for some time, so we’re excited to formalise the relationship with Burnley, and hopefully, help to introduce a bunch of younger fans to the club.

"What Vincent and the guys achieved last year was incredible and it’s a really exciting time to be a Burnley fan.

"We also spoke to JJ [Watt] multiple times and his passion and ideas for how we can help grow to the club and create Burnley fans for life really excited us - we’re planning to be in town for the Manchester City game this month and we can’t wait to meet everyone."

Sports Interactive

Estimated net worth: £2.2m

The Clarets have just announced a two-year deal with Sports Interactive, which is interesting because they produce Football Manager.

And as a result, Football Manager branding is set to appear at Turf Moor, while the company will also work with the club on social content and competitions.

In a statement on Burnley's website, Sports Interactive said: “We are delighted to announce Burnley FC as our first new club partner for the coming season.

“They caught everyone’s eye last season under Championship Manager of the Year Vincent Kompany, playing a brilliant brand of football and winning the Championship in record time.
